Bought a 306, which heads/cam to go with?

Well today, I picked up a 306 for $500 with all of the following:

-Stock E7 (I think)heads, 2 valves replaced, and complete valve job
-Speedpro hypereutectic pistons
-all new bearings
-new rods, lifters, and bolts
-new oil pump and pickup
-new double roller timing chain
-accessory brackets, and an extra alternator
The guy also gave me a Lunati .542 lift racing cam. I think this might be too extreme for me because I want it streetable. I was curious what heads I should go with. I don't want to use the heads that came with it because that was the reason of the re-build. One of the valves broke, and got hammered in there and did a little bit of minor damage. I'd rather just start off with a bad ass engine.

Which heads do you suggest? I was thinking some AFRs, but which kind? Maybe some Edelbrock Victor Jrs? What's the best heads/cam combo if I'm going to be using the Edelbrock 650CFM #1406 Carb, and the Edelbrock Performer 4bbl intake #2121?
Around what kind of #s will I be pulling with the suggested combos? I'll also be putting in a 67 cougar 9 inch rear end with 4.11 posi gears, and longtube headers. Thanks for ANY advice and tips. This is my first project car. I'm 17, and obvioulsy funds are very limited, so I'm trying to find the best deals I can. Thanks!

With what I've got an idea about, I was thinking with:
Edelbrock 2121 Performer manifold
Edelbrock #1406 4bbl 650 CFM carb
Aftermarket cam
AFR heads?

I figured I'd be pushing a ballpark of 420-450 HP. I'm not sure though, this is my first classic car, and engine work I've ever done. I just want the best bang for the buck. If it costs an extra 700 bucks for like 10 HP, im not interested. This is still going to be a streetable car. But if its gonna raise me a ton of horsepower for a decent price, then I'm in.

You will get nowhere near your goal with that intake and Edelbrock carb.

I don't mean to sound like an @ss, but you are so far out of the ball park that I don't know where to begin giving you ideas.

FYI:

If you want that intake and carb....I have an almost chrome Powdercoated performer intake and a fresh 1405 edelbrock carb that has been disassembled, powdercoated almost chrome, rebuilt and is ready to go.

Just PM ME if you are interested.

Nah, forget about the 450 ballpark. I'll settle with whatever I can get. Basically I want a purty quick streetable car. For what all I'm dumping into this car (new rear end, new motor, new suspension, new brakes, new tranny, and all the little crap that adds up), I want it to perform purty well. What do you think I can get out of a 306 with some aftermarket heads, and the edelbrock setup? I want you to COMPLETELY forget my 450 HP#s, I can't afford that lol. Sorry, I'm a rookie

For under $1200 you can have aluminum heads, intake, carb, and cam and make 300+ hp for a streetable car.
How? I'd be interested in this. The heads alone I was looking at were around $1200. I'd love to be pushin 300+ to the wheels. Anyone can jsut come in here and give me some ideas on some combos. I'm pretty open for ideas because I'm not going to put the motor in until it's completely ready. I also need to sell my motor and tranny.

i would also be interested in some feedback on heads and a cam, this is what i have been looking at doing to my 65, possibly a hydralic roller, cept i would be keeping my Performer RPM intake and 670 Street Avenger. feedback help this man!
