Bought a headach need help

Hi folks i need help. Bought a 89 302 mustang . has trick flow intake twisted wedge heads 24 lb injectors a 70mm throttle body 76mm c&l tube onit . throttle body is oxidied and pitted up can i change it to a 75mm or stay with the 70mm

I believe 75mm is way to big for a naturally aspirated set up. But someone more experienced chime in.

From the set-up your describing you really don't need 75mm tb.
Why not remove and clean up what you have or replace it with another 70mm?

Here’s a before and after of my stock throttle body. A little time and yours should clean up fine!


And then I went with some flat black to finish it up:

I would stick with a 70mm with your set up. Maintains more velocity, which actually makes more power than a bigger opening. Something else to think about is the size of the TB blade inside. The bigger the blade the more “on/off” your throttle will be. A smaller blade gives you smoother throttle transitioning.

It needs an "e" for it to truly to be a headache.
