I bought an 08GT Premium this past sunday night. I had read an number of threads here about that issue with these cars. So far the battery seems fine. I put the car in the ford dealer and had them do a 90k service and tie rod ends. they also did the plugs.
They did test every individual part of the charging system and it was all within spec. The battery was purchased last month so i expect it's still pretty strong.
I just plan to watch the battery gauge and see if it drops over time.
If any of you have experience with this please reply with any advice you may have.
