I bought the m/m full length, they come unpainted. Should I just prime them and paint them or should I cough up the coin and get them powder coated?

Until you weld them on, leave them bare...unless you want to grind off whatever coating you put on them.

Powder coat. You only have to grind off the area where you weld, and it's not a big deal.

Pardon me; I didn't mean to insinuate a complete or even a large removal of topcoat, and you're right-it's not a big deal. But, for the money required to powdercoat subframe connectors around here, I could probably buy another set of them.

And unless you're living where salted roads are an issue, a couple cans of krylon would more than suffice...or you just gotta have spic and span undercarriage pieces

If you've already got them unpainted, I would go the POR15 route and then once they've been welded on make another pass at covering up any bare metal.

I would paint or por15 or chassis saver them (which ever one you want to use) and then grind off. If you don't want to grind then I would paint at least the areas you can't get to once it's welded in (ie. top side that goes against the floor pans).

Also, if you're doing it yourself make sure you do them correctly. That's something you don't want to do twice. If i were to do it again I'd bring it to a professional place, pay them $150 and call it a day That's just me though.

I used primer and paint matched my car once welded in. Looks damn good from the side IMO and that of all the other people who have seen it.

for sure and I considered it. But honestly it was when I got under my car to weld it I saw they the entire underside was body color. Made nothing but sense for me to continue that instead of putting something black under there
