If you vent to atmosphere they will. Here's my old mondo vented to atmosphere. So loud it was obnoxious.GinoGT said:Do the BOV's on a supercharger setup give that "whoosh" sound like on a turbo car, or is there not enough pressure behind it?
You can vent to atmosphere with a maf as long as it is a blow thru setup and you put the bov before the maf. Any setup that has the maf before the supercharger, you have to vent back into the intake tube. procharger uses, or atleast used to use a setup where the maf is after the supercharger and the compressed air was blowing through the maf and you could put a bov before it but after the supercharger cuz the air wasn't metered yet.jeffrey81 said:im so lost on this... i thought you couldnt release it into the atmosphere??? because of the maf???
Well it's not quite that simple, you will need re-tuned. And blow-thru systems are notorious for bad idle problems. the draw-thru system is really better for everyday driveability. That's not to say that there aren't people out there doing it and not having problems, but it's much harder to tune and keep good idle characteristics.jeffrey81 said:i see, so can i just put my maf after the supercharger and be ok?? its a pro m maf and right now i have it in front of the procharger. will i be ok if i just move it behind the charger or do you have to get a sepical maf?
