I am posting this here because I don't really know were else to talk about it. If you've seen the show they build some nice cars once and awhile, I prefer the mustang 2+2 one myself. The thing I want to know is, Does Boyd accually do something or does he just walk around and put his name on everything and the credit. The show itself never shows him doing anything but driving the cars and barking orders plus making unrealistic dead lines.

he is the owner, he has been around long enough now that he doesnt have to do anything and farms the work out to his employees. Its like that in every business. All foose does is draw pictures 99% of the time.

I can assure you, Chip Foose does far more than draw pictures. Chip can and does get involved in every aspect of the cars rolling out of his shop.

Seen that show a couple times. Don't care for it at all. I'm sure they fabricate some trick stuff, but I lost whatever respect they could have had when they screwed up that fastback. That and most of them screw things up so much you have to wonder if it was written in.

I absolutely hate the show. Bad rip off of American Chopper and the "F" word is used WAY too much. I watched about 10 minutes and haven't watched since.

yeah, i can't watch much of that show. everyones always fighting. i'm suprising they get any work done. And then boyd just walks round bitching at people as does that other d00d. Historic is right, it's just a bad rip off of American Chopper, which is... a great show in my opinion.

I hate that Blueballs, er, bear, guy. Such a smart ass. Can't wait til they fire him. Saw a preview last night and they said someone else is going kinda hinted that it was him.

I really don't care for any of those shows. Too much arguing and fighting made up just for the ratings.

I hate that show. Boyd is a douchebag. No one on his team is even remotely likeable. I don't care for the typical "rod with flames", and they ruined that 65 for some old lady.

Lame show, lame crew.

I don't care if I design cars or have been building them for 40 years, I would still be involved with what is going on in my shop. And the type of personalities that are in that shop spell conflict. It looks to staged. Putting a 7 week deadline on a car like the fastback and all the things that went with it are bull. He just does that for show and then he puts his name on it. They never show Boyled sit down and design anything, they showed on the 56 ford that one guy who talks funny designing the rims to the car. I just think that the paint guy charle and some of the others should get more credit. Boyled always talks about how "we" need to get working faster, he reffers the whole qroup and him but he really just means them because all he does is huver over everyone.

and the whole slaming the door thing is stupid.

Rumor has it that Charley the body/paint guy bailed and is now working for Chip Foose. Can't believe the guy put up with Boyd's crap for as long as he did.

It's not a rumor, after the fastback episode was filmed he left to work for chip. There's a message board on discovery's site that he posts on.

You guys do realize it's fluffed up because it's TV don't you? I like the cars, but I could do without the continuous deadlines and soap opera like theme. If I were having a car tricked out like those I would not want them to rush at all. Take your time and do it right! I only watch the special "Marathon" issues so I get sick of it pretty quick until the next year. Seeing someone get fired in public is pretty low. I wonder if those guys are paid by the hour or by the car?

the way they work I am going to say by the hour because half the time they are just standing around yelling at each other.

What do you expect? Thats what they think makes good tv.

I just watched it because Charley does amazing work, without the drama. I'm glad to see he moved on to a better company.

BlueBear did not get fired, it was the new guy "Tig" who got canned.

The show is designed for ratings. American Chopper is the same way, all about ratings. The way to get ratings? Conflict, drama & humor, all that is put in for the "show".

Have you ever seen Foose yell at anybody in any of his shows? - NO!

Are his shows entertaining? - DAMN-RIGHTS THEY ARE!

It just seems like everbody really wants to be there and show off their craft. And if there's a hard custom panel to make Chip is in there like a dirty shirt with a hammer and dolly making it happen.

Ah crap. Charlie was the only guy worth watching on that show. Well, the old pissed off metalworker is pretty good to, but he's not on all the time. That show just went from bad to aweful without Charlie.
