Boyd Coddington...American Hot Rod

He had a major accident in one of the hot rods and had something like five plates put in his face. I paid attention to this because I thought at first it was cranial facial nerve related (important for reasons I won't get into) untill he told the story. His name is Mike I think.

that would explain it.

It is a modern day "As the World Turns" soap opera with a lot of "F" words.

Think I will spend my "spare" time here at Stangnet.

I agree about Chip. Too bad Overhaulin doesn't do a little more tech.

I do like watching the old curmudgeon fabricate metal. And the father and sons team that worked on the aluma-whatever were some SERIOUS craftsmen. It's too bad there's about 30 seconds of education/info about a craft, and 39.5 minutes of "personality".

I agree Charlie is good. Too bad we probably won't get to see him anymore.

The show seems to be another form of a reality show.

Having watched it for five minutes once, I decided that, for me, it is Gilligan's Island with wheels and that I had better things to do like work on the real thing. To each his own.....

Mike, yeah, he flipped a hotrod on the dry lake bed.

Charlie is the only one on that show that has a great future. He knows exactly where his priorities are and takes great pride in his work. From start to finish, he's meticulous, quick, and very PROFESSIONAL. He carries himself with pride and dignity, something that seems to be lacking from many members of society these days. Respect and admiration goes a long way in determining somebody's future.

How about Boyd's ex-wife? She's got to be the most rude, obnoxious, uncaring person on the show. She simply has no regard for any of the workers or their skills. I can't fathom how she's in the show and working with him on a daily basis while he's now remarried.

it's called HALF. HALF is a very big word. :(

Boyd's show sucks...Overhaulin is great..

I've tried to watch Boyd's show...All they do is fight and rarely show actual work on the street rods..My friend has done one esipode for Chip Fosse and Overhaulin for next season and will do another also..He does upholstery work..He says its alot work in a small time frame but everyone gets along..Most of the crew at Overhaulin are all old Boyd guys...They left him to work for Chip...Chip actually worked for Boyd for awhile then went out on his own..No surprise there...

Man, giving her half of what you got is worth the cost of getting rid of her. If she were my ex-wife, I'd gladly give her the half that she wanted and then kick her to the curb! Hopefully on the way out of the car door, she'd suffer serious road rash. :D

Yeah, that is the only thing I am proud of Boyd for, ex'n that fat women out and marrying the good lookin blonde. Of-course you have to wonder why he married that tank in the first place, maybe she was the only one at the time who could stand his antics. ????hmmmmm????

Also I like Overhallin, though the host is hot, she sometime gets annoying, but Chip is awsome, his drawings are out of this world and it accually captures him doing work unlike Boyd. But Boyd knows how to drive a car in and out of a shop like a champian.
