I have a set off SmoothieIIs for my mustang. Come to find out they don't fit over the Cobra brake calipers. I can still return them (the wheels) for a refund. Should I consider wheel spacers, or just return them and try something else.

I jacked up the car and put washers on the lugs to see how much space I would need to get past the calipers. The rim hung pretty far out at that point so I sent them back. The tire guy at my shop told me to ground down the caliper but I didn't want to screw with that. Good luck.
I also called discount tire direct and tried to get a set for the cobra, but was told they are not made because they are a "reverse spaced" or "back spaced rim."

You need 6.12" backspacing for the Cobra brakes.

These rims would fit.

I went to Mustangtuning.com and bought a set of 95 cobra Rs. They look good, and the chrome seems easy to keep clean. But those Boyds looked sweet.
