What should I do with my adjustable proportaitng valve when bleeding my brakes? Less brake......knob turned all the way to the left. Or more brake all the way to the right?

Does it even matter?

Thanks guys.

No reason to turn the PV left or right to bleed your brakes.
I've blead my brakes 3 different times and not once touched the PV, I've never trouble getting all the air out.

You should turn the Adj. Prop Valve all the way "IN" to bleed the Brakes, full rear bias, the rear lines and calipers are notorious for trapping air.

It should solve it, you can also invest in a Pressure bleeder such as one by Motive, it will force any air out of your system.

ShakerHood- Do you have a Motive pressure bleeder? If so did you modify a stock MC cap and use it that way. Or did you use the cap that came in the kit with the chain?

I just used the Cap and Chain that came with the Motive Bleeder, it was a perfect fit.

Turn the knob full in to increase pressure to the rears.

The reason for this is because the rear calipers have poor flow and sometimes do not push enough fluid when reduced to push out any air that is trapped. That's why you want to maximize fluid pressure to maximize flow and push out air.

If the calipers are already installed and you are just bleeding fresh fluid, you don't need to touch the knob, but the fluid flow will be pretty slow.

When installing the calipers the first time, you def want max pressure. You might even need to take the calipers off, put a peice of wood inside and bleed the caliper while holding it more upright and tapping the caliper with a rubber hammer to dislodge air.
