I was trying to get the brake booster from a 93 cobra on ebay and i got outbid on the last minute. i called Auto Zone and they say they carry them at $79. The one from ebay was from Ford Racing and it came out at $111. Do you guys think that is a good choice to buy them from Auto Zone, is it good quality. thanks

Ford puts remanufactured ones in the M-2300-K Kits now and they are made by I think Cardone. If thats what Advanced or Autozone has, then I would say yes. Man its a shame you lost out on the real thing $111 is a great deal for an original 93 Cobra Booster.

get ready for a real pain in the a$$ if you're doing the work yourself. I am in the middle of changing mine right now and the only tip I can offer is that you need the right tools. I have to go out today and pick up a few 3/8" universal joints for my ratchet set. You will need them to get to the top 2 bolts on the booster.

That one nut up top is a royal PITA! You can reach the other with just a wrench, but a universal is mandatory for the other one up there. I just came in from loosening and retightening them earlier tonight!

it doesn't look like it, but I remember getting at that top one with just an extension and a deep, no universals

There is a metal bracket behind it and to the side of it. A deepwell is too long, the rachet comes in contact with the bracket and of course a regular is too short. If you had a mid length socket, it might be possible.

I used a Snap-On semi-deep univeral socket (yes, there is such a thing). Works great, but would be very expensive if I had to pay today's price for it.
