I'm going to powder coat my calipers and while I'm doing that I'm also swapping out the stock brake lines for stainless steel braided hoses. My question is what type of brake fluid do you guys recommend?

Also, anyone know where to get the braided hoses from besides Classic Tube (http://www.classictube.com/prodview.asp?idno=100&searchtype=stopflex_kits&partno=SBH6101)?

From http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/faqs.html -
TCE suggests a quality DOT 3 or 4 fluids for most applications. Do not use high temp racing fluids unless you plan to flush the system daily and keep this fluid in your car fresh all the time. High temp fluids can be great for a short while, but over time they degrade faster than more conventional fluids. They are also more susceptible to moisture and need continued flushing and bleeding to maintain their operational level. Simply adding ‘racing brake fluid’ won’t do a thing to make your brakes work better unless you have a fluid boiling problem already.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't planning on putting "race brake fluid" in. I'll probably just go to Autozone and see what they have

Anyone know of other places to get stainless steel brake lines from though?

I found these from summit: http://store.summitracing.com/partd...4294882683+4294908331+4294908282+4294846476+0

It only lists them as being for 2005. Nothing changed brake wise from 05 - 06 correct?

Use the dot3 fluid. The dot4 is for natural rubber seals like on european cars. Dot5 is silicone and it will work well. I'd just use the dot3 and be sure to change it every couple of years.
