Brake install problems... help...

Hey guys i am trying to install pad and rotors on my 99 gt and i cant get the two torx bolts off... No matter what i use. Also, i tried to just get my pads on and i bought the EBC red stuff pads and i cant get the caliper over the pads so i can seat it down. I did fully compress the pistons i think but i still cant get it over. It is hitting the little black metal peices that are on the outside of the pads.... Please help me as my car is on jacks and i need to get it done... asap...

are they spinning or not turning at all?

if their stinning grab the slide pin with an wrench to stop the pin from moving, if you cant get it to turn be carefull you dont strip it

Put a wrench or whatever you have on the torq and instead of muscling it off...hit it with a hammer in shirt quick inpacts to break it loose.

They arent turning at all, but right now i am just worried about getting the pads on cause they wont fit on with the caliper and those pads. They just hit the black part and wont get over...

are you sure you have the caliper all the way compressed I usually use a c clamp to compress them out. Sometimes you need to let some fluid out and there is no reason the pads should not fit over the caliper. Unless they are the wrong size which i doubt

Will letting some of the fluid out of the resevoir allow the pistons to compress further... I am pretty sure they are compressed fully...
Well can a mod move this to tech or whatever...
I just need to figure this out

thats crazy that they would be fully compressed and still not fit

The pads have this little layer of break in material, i dont know if that is a sufficient amount to prevent it from going over but i am not able to get it over, it still hits the black part on teh outside of the pad and will not go over. Will removing fluid from the resevoir allow me to compress the pistons further... Should you be able to see any of the piston if it is fully compressed?

it should be flush with the caliper (the piston) if it is compressed all the way.
