BRAKE KITS???

What options were on it? And when they quote you a price get the part number. I believe thir pricing always includes the cross/slotted/zinc washed rotors. You can also call Baer at the number above and they will give you the retail.

Frank,
Just called Mike at classictube and got some updated info. Apparently Baer decided to raise their prices effective August 1, 2006. They have also split up the M2300K killer kit so you have to buy the rears, fronts, and axles seperately.
Retail..............Classictube
Fronts: 1916...................1550 (this includes the refundable $300 core)
Rears: 1416....................1125
Axles: 328.................295
Total: 3660 ...................2970 (-300 core) = 2670

I was gonna say you can check out www.bieberfever.com www.ampperformance.com they have the baer kit, front and rear upgrade kit with 5 lug conversion, stronger axels up to 35 spline (i think) and all the connecting hardware required, not to mention the SN95 spindles. Somewhere in the price range of 2500 i think.

I think it may be part of the rear kit now. Baer did all sorts of crazy stuff to their pricing. I guess now that Chip Foose uses them they feel they can do whatever they want :nonono:

The kit I have on my car would be under new Baer logic as:
1. Front track kit, polished calipers, 2 piece rotors, zinc/cross/slotted
2. Rear serious street, polished calipers, 2 piece rotors, zinc/cross/slotted
3. Rear 5 lug axles w/ ARP stud upgrade

They have been the most costly upgrade to date but also the second best upgrade to my car, just behind my coilover/PHB/LCA combo.

What's the advantage of a 2 piece rotor over a standard 1 piece?

2 piece is about 5 pounds lighter per rotor which transfers into a signifigant amount of lessened unsprung weight during suspension travel, as well as, less rotational mass - expecially considering I run HEAVY 18" wheels. I'll take all the lightening I can get.

What you guys think about this Baer kit: http://www.dndmotorsports.com/?page...category_id=59ac4b6e557ac8d2e8ee07ffed6a74b1&
