Lotsa good discussion lately about brakes. My question: if disc brakes need more fluid to operate, would you need to go to a bigger brake line if converting from 4 wheel manual drum brakes?

I changed mine from drums to discs front and drum rears. Replaced all the lines and used 3/16".

Brakes work great now!

IIRC, 3/16"

I didn't change the size, only replaced them!

brake line size should remain the same, the disc brakes do not require more fluid in the sense of flow. Hydraulic theory is that fluid does not compress therefore there is not dramatic "flow" when you depress the brake pedal.although there is a slight bit as the piston moves.
the main reason disc brakes require more fluid, and why the m/c reservoir uses the larger portion for the disc brakes is because as the brakes wear, and with the larger piston, then there must be fluid capacity to compensate
