Brake Lines

I have a 65 coupe that I am converting my single master cylinder to a dual. I have a new distribution block as well as an adjustable proportioning valve. I wanted to verify I had everything correct before I began installing it all. Please let me know if the illustration I drew has the right routing of the lines. Thanks.

You may want to consider a 10lb residual valve after the porportioning valve, but before the rear brake dist block on the rear end housing. THis will keep 10lbs of pressur on the rear drum brakes so they don't retract all the way. Keeps the pedel travel short. I put mine right where the hard line goes to the flex hose at the back of the rear floor boards. Oh! there was a great thread awhile back about master cylinders having/not having built in residual valves. Make sure what your MC is if you decide to add one.

Not having a 10 PSI residual pressure valve in the drum circuit will cause problems unless the MC is mounted below the drums.

I don't know for sure but I don't think having 2 of them in the same circuit will cause any problems. Not having it WILL cause problems.
