So now lately when I drive and am not even hard on the brakes, the fronts make a shuddery noise and it feels almost like it does when ABS kicks in. My only thought is warped rotors. The car has about 44.5k on it, i bought it used at 42k and do not know when the brakes were last changed. Anyone had this experience? Might be time for the Baer sport package that may fit inside my 16" snow rims.... thanks.

Have you visually inspected the brakes?

Pull a wheel off and give them a looking over? Maybe remove the caliper and grease the slide pins, inspect the pads, and look for any defects?

Yeah I've looked them over and nothing seems irregular. I found out the pads have been replaced and are fine, but the rotors may not have been.

sorry to bump an old thread, but did you ever get this resolved? i've had this issue since last year when i got my car and cant figure it out. i'm thinking its something to do with the abs pump, since when i pull the abs fuse, it doesnt do it anymore.

Bad ABS sensor, perhaps. Had that happen on my truck a while back.
