They will wear your stock rotors faster, will produce ALOT more brake dust, and will be quite a bit noisier. I haven't used the yellowstuff compound, but even the greens were pretty harsh for a street pad (when i had my GT brakes).
Good post therzl, I'll be needing to replace my brake pads and rotors this winter, will keep an eye on this thread for suggestions for good street pads. Not to side track your topic but what are the views on cross drilled and/or slotted rotors for a street car?
Cross drilled rotors will eventually crack on you. See, Porshe rotors are cast around the holes so they will never crack, while ones for our cars are drilled after the fact. I would stick with stock rotors and go with desired pads. I have the Raybestos pads, and they stop great, brake quiet, but they do have a lot of brake dust IMO. I would like the try Hawk's in the future.
I've heard the same thing about cracking with the cross drilled rotors. Would slotted rotors offer much benifit in stopping power over stock rotors other then looking pretty wicked IMO.
BTW SVT32VDOHC love the Cobra rims on your Notch, they look bad ass!!!
Yeah I agree would be nice if we could find some 96-97 Cobra rims 9 and/or 10 inch widths. If you do end up getting your rims widened please post up about the experience, I have a buddy who was wondering how well the process of widening rims worked and the costs involved.

I finally installed Hawk HPS-Plus pads and Stoptech ss brakelines. My car halts like never before. Maximum Motorsports in San..., CA sold me the above. They are very knowledgable re: many things Mustang. I know very little about rotors, but I've heard slotted maybe, drilled NEVER! The drilled are prone to crack on our cars--I think. I hope this helps.
