brake people chime in please

Debating whether or not to use 66mm or 73mm calipers. I planned on getting 94/95 spindles and in theory want the best brakes. Better meaning larger, asides from dual pistons (which I can't afford at the moment). So this would lead me to conclude using crwn vic 73mm steel piston calipers, ie SVO used 73mm. But would I run into fitment issues? Would it be best to go with the extended 8mm +96 spindles? Or would the stock sn95 66mm calipers work just as good, if not better. Fyi I don't do track or race, an occasional red light or abandoned road maybe. I also plan on keeping my rear drums for awhile and using slotted front rotors. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I used the 73mm crown vics. They made a little difference compared to stock not much. You need to convert your MC to a 2-port design. I never did.

I'm in the process of doing the cobra brake swap.

AlmostStock: good thread, thanks... I find that they are comparing the fox 60mm stockers vs 73mm. Some interesting things to consider in that thread though, such as the front lock up and and needing to keep all 4tires on the ground. So bigger front brakes don't always mean better. Eventually I do plan on going sn95 rear disc and maybe then I'd notice more diff. But I'm particularly intersted in the sn95 stock 66mm vs 73mm crwn vic. Guess I'll just have to go out and make my own notes to repost.
