Brake problem, need help

I would check the brakes first.

Pull the wheel off and take the caliper off. Check to see that the pads are wearing evenly and most importantly check to make sure the caliper slide pins are greased up and not frozen solid int he caliper bridges.

Finally put some fresh caliper pad grease on the backside of the pads where they contact the caliper and reinstall.

Do all 4 wheels and see if that makes a difference.

Well, there really aren't any seals and gaskets to replace unless you take the caliper off and rebuild it by popping out the pistons. I wouldn't go that far yet. Start with the easy stuff.

WHat you need are called "caliper hardware kits"....at least at NAPA. They contain all the shims and slide pin boots that you will need. Be warned, they are expensive at about $20 per wheel. If you want to go that route by all means go for it, but i would start with an inspection paying close attention to the slide pins and their abiliy to move freely.

Also, the wheel bearings are non-servicable. You would need to replace the entire hub, which rarely goes bad.

I'd start with new pads, resurface rotors, and regrease all the slide pins.
