I don't know much about brakes, but i do know my car has the smaller brakes, i think they're basically the size that the '87+ 4 banger cars had. I need to do rotors and pads....would i need/have to change the calipers if i ordered rotors for an '87 GT?

Damn really? I didn't know the spindles and everything were different....that blows. In that case i may just say screw it 5 lug it if i have to go through all that. I'm hoping to hit 11s this year and 4 banger size brakes don't like slowing down 110+ trap speeds.

Well for one, i've never done the brakes on this car...in the almost 5 years that i've owned it...because amazingly enough they just never needed it. Well the other day i guess one of my pads just took a dump because out of nowhere they started grinding hard and i looked and my rotor is chewed to hell and back. I'll probably stay 4 lug for now (since i love these ARE's) and just find a parts car and get all the GT brake parts from it.

Yeah i'll probably hit my local forum since there's always people parting out cars. I've never really worked on brakes...how involved is it to change the spindles and everything?
