has anyone had this happened to them?! sometimes when i hit a bump or turn into a driveway with a bump and hit the brakes it feels like my pads arent grabbin... it feels like metal on metal and the car wont stop right away so i have to let go and press the brakes again! its only when i hit the brakes right when i hit a bump or somehting like that... what is going on?! :notnice:

my car has 13,000 miles on it... and it brakes fine .. but its only when im going slow and i hit the brakes while hitting a bump.. like turning into a driveway... it grabs great in any other circumstance ... i can honestly feel metal on metal grinding through my feet when this happens...

The pads are probably glazed. Another possibility is that they are contaminated with some substance. The metal to metal noise is probably chattering as the pads skid over the rotor surface. You can try removing the pads and roughing up the pads surface with some scotchbrite, but you may need new pads and a rotor turning to fix it.

Are you getting any negative resistance on the brake pedal (ABS pushing your foot back up, or pumping)? Happened on mine a lot when it was lowered...if i hit a bump even creeping along it would do it.....even my Explorer seems to have a hard-on for activating the ABS. Stock ride height: Problem solved.
