A plain rotor will offer better braking and better heat dissappation.

The slots/holes do nothing on a street car and are looks only. They take away vital mass which the rotor uses to stay cool. The slots and holes do not cool the rotor at all since they are perpendicular to the airflow across the rotor. The drilled holes are to help gases from race pads (which are not used on street cars) escape and the slots help wipe away brake dust, which does happen but not enough to make a real significant effect.

This is a matter of huge debate. My rule of thumb when I am unsure is to go with stock. Therefore I recommend stock rotors and pads. :) Motorcraft parts all the way bay bee!

You want Power Slotted rotors. Cross drilled rotors are inherently weaker. The drilling through them allows for great gas venting, however it makes the rotors very week and prone to warping or breaking. There have been many test on this and people will beat it to death. But all i gotta say is that Roush/Alcon have an awesome 14" break kit, and you'll notice its power slotted, not cross drilled. So thats gotta say something...

Get Powerslotted, not both and not cross drilled. Power slotted rotors are great. I paid $110 for my "powerslot" power slotted rotors.
