Hello Guys,

New to the forums over here. Simple question. Will the Brembo brake kit for the 2011/12 5.0 bolt up to my 2011 V6 if I get the calipers, pads, and 14" rotors? Any done it yet? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between the Brembo's on the GT and the GT500?

Thanks!

The Brembo package on the GT comes with special wheels, because the standard wheels won't clear the larger calipers. I'm not sure if the V6 Performance Package wheels will clear (they use the same size tire), but I'm pretty confident that all the other wheels won't fit. The 18s and smaller definitely won't work with them.

As far as I know, the GT Brembo package brakes are the same as the GT500 standard brakes, at least as of 2011 when I was shopping.

Some 18 inch wheels must fit ,2010 Gt 500s came with 18in rims and Brembos. Ford racing makes a kit with everything you need to convert your car to Brembos including the GT500 wheels for @ 2K

1BAD02RT, why do you want the Brembo brake package? Looks to be very expensive and not much pay off for a V6 Mustang. Also, do some research, the Brembo's will squeal unless you do a lot of hard driving and braking.

If he drives the car hard, the Brembos are worth their weight in gold.
