Bremerton Area Stangers

It's a rural track that uses an old runway. It is well organized and run. It does not have amenities (You'll be using a porta-potty). Most of the people who race at that site are from the Olympic Peninsula, but some come from as far as Canada. The track specializes in three day events so many people drive motorhomes and camp-out at the track. Most of the racing is bracket racing with many very nice old-school cars. I find the racers tend to be quite clanish and reserved, but they are friendly when approached. If someone else wants to add a second opinion or assessment I'd like to read it too. I am sure there is more to say...

Having raced at around 2 dozen tracks around the country I can honestly say that Bremerton is one of the best prepped/maintained track surfaces in the country for bracket racers. Yes, the facility is old and not like the bigger tracks but the program is well run, lots of racers, decent payouts, and bottom line, a fun place to race. If you have specific questions about racing there you can ask me as I work there as a tech and I race there too!

Movin' to Bremerton? Awesome. I live there.

We need more Bremerton stangers. Most of the serious ones are all Navy, so.. I can get you the hookups with them.

It looks like I will be living in tacoma for a little while, before I get my own place. The company I am going to work for is located in Bremerton area (technically Port Orchard). I may move closer to Bremerton in a few months. Anyway, I look forward to chillin with some Washington stang owners.

If you're living in Tacoma, you are an equal distance between the two tracks: Pacific Raceway and Bremerton. Are you aware of all the problems you are likely to have at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, once schools starts again?

I have heard about a few bottleknecks, including that bridge. Hopefully, I will not have to commute over it by the time school starts! I will be living temporarily with my stepbrother in Tacoma, until I get my own place.
