Hey all,

I've been lurking for about 2 months or so, registered for even less, and I thought I'd make a short intro now...plus I just picked up my new Mustang Friday, and I wanted to put her in the spot light

Later!

that shaker hood scoop that CDC has would be a good mod...i'd do it if i had a 99-04, it looks cooler and adds power

I remember seeing a Shaker system for the SN95's, but it wasn't by CDC though. I'll be damned if I can remember if it was for the V6 or 8, or which site it was.

CDC has it for the 96-98 GT...woudlnt you think you would be able to get it to work with the 6?, the intake is located in the same spot for the 6 and the 8...isnt it?

The intakes are slightly different I think, enough so it wouldn't just bolt right on. I'd take a look at an installed one and then figure out how to go about fabricating the parts from there. It wouldn't be as difficult as one might think.

OK, wait, I jut got up. Check that.

CDC makes the shaker for the 99+ V6 as well.

Here's the instructiojns:

http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/tech_center/shaker_V6install.html

Considering the differences in the SN95 and 99+, I would still think it would be possible to get the system to work.

The three hardest things to get to fit, I would think, are going to be the aluminum drain tub to the hood, the three brackets may have to be modified or fabricated, and the fit of the air intake would be a concern I'd have in making sure the tub and intake match ok after you modify the tub.

I think it would be totally doable though, but it would take some time in just the planning phase. I'd get a 99+ right next to the SN95 and make a ton of measurements and templates before I started cutting everything up.

surely!

looks pretty good, especially with all the other black accents, (conv top, stripes)
If it wasnt painted to match my car, i think it would look VERY misplaced (the centerpiece thing, not the shaker itself)

noes!? not my beautiful 'wrap around' spoiler!? dear god!
also, you would have to get the chin spoiler, like mine, that emulates the Mach 1 chin spoiler, because thats one of the things that yellow stang is missing as well.
btw, those pics were right off the CDC site =D

Ok, Now I'm thoroughly confused. Why does CDC list the shaker for the 99+ V6/8, but also has instructions for this same system on the SN95?

Are the hood curves the same though out both body styles of Stangs?
