ok...heres the deal. im looking at getting rid of the 351's in favor of some bare castings. i got a good deal going on a set of track 1 ford, but have still been contemplating going with the afr 185's. i wont be doing the straightr line so much as going in corners so overall power is what i need. thats where the brodix heads come in. what would be good in your guys opinion. i will be doing a shaft mount rocker setup as well

Brodix's will walk the 185s all the way around. You're gonna need a lot bigger cam and intake for either head, though. Your cam and intake would give more low-end, but you'd be leaving a lot of power on the table.

ya...the e303 would prob take a hike shortly after i got it all apart. i was looking at possible getting a rpm 2 manifold and porting the crap out of it for alot more flow at the upper levels. i do want somethign with more duration and some more lift possibly

An RPM II ported would work great. Also, get a custom cam. The extra $100 will be well spent considering the power you'll gain over an off-the-shelf cam and it won't just be peak power, it'll optimize the airflow potential throughout the entire powerband. How many other $100 parts can make as much of a difference as going to a custom cam would? Last thing, those Brodix heads along with the proper intake and cam will run off and leave the stock h/c/i bottom end or topend.

The track 1 is a good head but your going to need more motor, compression etc...otherwise the 185 would be a much better choice.

I would go with a Holley SysteMAX intake personally, and definitly custom cam to make it all work...

ya....daily driving i can handle. i will be gonig out to wyotech in april, so i am wanting to showcase my abilities as a muscle head and have something nice to drive around on in between classes or lunch time...gotta get real fast food...lol

ok...for the real question. since i am gonig to get a bare head, i will ahve to get the valves and all that seperate...obviously. who would be the best bang for the buck and make it to where i can rev this thing high. where should i start looking for springs, and valves?

the brodix....

ummm...budget wise....i dont want to hack off my arm for just one valve....i really want this thing to zing though...especially cuz i am thinking on going with the 331 setup you mensioned in your email
