broke a stupid bolt

i was installing the new restrictor plate for my IAC valve, those that read the thread about it know what i'm talking about, and i broke the bolt. I'm so pissed that's a special automotive bolt. I have alot of commercial grade bolts and none of them match the bolt tread. Can i get one at like PePboys or do i have to special order. My car is dead till i get that bolt in.

Your Ford dealer will probably be the best place.

You better hope you can even get it at a ford dealer. Chances are VERY good that something like 1 bolt will not be in stock, and it will be special order...assuming they can even order it.

that bolt is used in different places throughout the car..they dont use a differnet bolt for every attachment...there has to be somewhere i can get it..right?

You can for sure order the bolt at a ford dealership, but they will charge you 6.99 per bolt...i have busted plenty of bolts on my stang and Ford always comes through....for the right price

well i went to Pepboys and sure enough i found the bolt i was looking for. It was much less than 6.99 for a three pack. Thank you Pepboys. Thanks for ur comments guys.
