While racing a CBR600, I power shifted into second, and I heard somthing slam real hard. Now when I am in 1st/2nd/3rd gear, and i let off the accelerator for a few seconds, then punch it, the rear end feels like it kicks out, and then straightens. If i let off, and punch it again, it feels as if the rear kicks out to the left, then the steering centers the car back on the lane. Any idea what I did? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

I have a 97 Cobra Convertible with a 3.57 rear end.

I bet you've ripped apart your torque box.. see if you see this under there:

Most guys don't use the reinforcement kits. I had a local shop seam weld all four torque boxes and axle tubes for $250 - but, I did this BEFORE I damaged one of them. Depending on how badly yours is damaged, you may need some extra stuff. Regardless, you'll need to pull your rear seat bottom out and scrape all the sound deadening off the floor under the seat (major pain) before a shop will weld them up. Leave the seat out until the job is done. If you don't do that, they'll be glad to do it for you for an extra charge.
