broken exhaust manifold stud

installed my upr x pipe on my 2000 mustang yesterday and one of the studs on the manifold broke.it broke in half and i tried using a stud extractor but it wont come out because of a spacer on the stud which wont let me get a grip on the stud anybody else have this problem any ideas.

is there anyway to get a good firm grip in the stud? on my 98 gt motor i put on my 99 ex-v6 the driver side stud was bent and i had abad exhaust leak so i was able to fit a 9/16 deepwall socket on to it, so i heated it up till it was red hot, got a breaker bar, and it came right out....hope this helps a little bit!
