I recently installed the MRT hood struts on my 2000 GT Convertible. Everything was going well with installation until I started tightening down the lower nuts on the upper hood hinge plate. The drivers side bolt split below the hinge plate and the passanger side bolt stripped. 
Does anyone have a schematic of how the hood is assembled. I need to take apart and replace bolts. The hood opens and closes now, but only with a lot of care. I am hoping I do not have to replace entire hood.
Any suggestions to repair will be greatly appreciated.
