So i recently changed the air filter in my 01v6 and broke one of the clips (there are two alltogether) that hold the filter against the mass air flow sensor tube...does anyone have any idea where i could find the little clips?...i checked the dealership and they couldnt even get it...local junkyards wouldnt sell it separate...im at a dead end...do i REALLY have to buy a new fn MAF just to replace a $5-10 clip?...pleeease help me

Are you SURE you actually broke one of those clips? I just can't see anyone breaking one of those because they are metal... unless you really ripped on it or something. I'm not bashing you, I just can't understand. They simply snap and lock in place. You may think you broke one if it comes off and falls to the ground. Just snap it back in the slot.

Seriously, if it really broke, try Late Model Restoration Supply. They carry a lot of hard to find Mustang parts.

If a junkyard won't sell you one, I would just make your own. Maybe find a cabinet latch in the hardware section of Home Depot and screw it to the plastic pieces, or use coat hangar wire to make a new one. As long as you're not showing the car with the hood open at shows, it doesn't have to be pretty, and it doesn't really have to be that strong either (the assembly is under a light suction already when the engine is running).
