Does anyone know anyone or someplace where I can get a seat stud replaced correctly? I have a broken stud on the driver's seat and it has kind of a half @ss fix and it's driving me nuts cuz now the seats starting to move. any help is appreciated.
Is it a front or rear stud? The rear studs on the front seats go straight through to the ouside of the car, the fronts don't. Would be easier if it was a rear. I'd just drill it out if you absolutely can't get it out. I imagine those studs are a pretty decent strength metal. Gotta wonder how someone broke that...unless they were installing new seats or subframe connectors.....
sorry guys but I didn't explain myself very good. So it is the outside front stud, and the original stud is no longer there (broken was a bad choice of word). However there is new bolt but it is the wrong size, stripped, binded, etc. and is not welded in or however the originals were attached. I would like to have it done right so there is no movement in the seat and so that it is securely attached to the car. I appreciate the responses!
