Sorry..i just woke up from partying.
Already planning on going to the parade Saturday! Will be my 7th championship parade in 10 years for our 4 major sports teams!
Shame on Vancouver fans for destroying their town. Garantee you most of those people weren't eveb hockey fans, but just taking place in the choas just because they could get away with it.

I can't say Boston didn't deserve it. They creamed them in the first three games. So it was no surprise to most Canadian's that Vancouver was going to lose in the 4th.
Way to go Boston
....shame on you Vancouver for the post game riots afterwards.

You mean Boston's first 3 WINS, yes? The first 2 games that the Canucks won were very even and decided on more-or-less lucky goals.
All of the Canucks wins could've gone either way, and all of Boston's were an ass-kicking! Thank God Game 7 was an ass kicking!
Yes, that's what I meant. Boston waxed Vancouver in all of their wins....it was no surprise to most of us that they would carry out that momentum on their home ice. Most people I know didn't even watch the game much after the first period they were so disgusted with how bad Vancouver had been playing.
Everyone East of Calgary hates them anyway, don't they?
I would've liked to see Kesler win it, but not at the expense of my home team Boston. Poor guy, loses the Gold to Canada in Vancouver, then loses the Cup in Vancouver to the Bruins

should be a wings fan by now
I was told from friends in Vancouver the rioters came prepared prior to the riot armed with Molotovs, so they were going to start crap regardless even if Vancouver did win. I also heard real Canucks fans that were at the game actually cheered Boston on.
The thing is there were Canadians cheering for Boston too, but they were highly ostracized. There was a guy working at a video game shop I overheard today who was in Vancouver for game one, and he had a Boston jersey on and he kept on getting bad looks. Later on, some guy shoved his way in a crowd to get to him, he thought he was going to get his ass kicked but it turned out it was a police officer who thought he needed to be saved.
I have a friend who took a lot of pictures from the down town incident and they have all been turned into the Vancouver Police Department so that justice maybe served. But on the light side of things, I've heard some funny jokes coming out of the incident, such as "If you don't let Vancouver (or any Canadian team) win next year, things will get fugged up".

The best one I heard was after game 6: "What time is it in Boston? 15 past Luongo" after he let up his 15th goal in 3 losses.

That joke might have been funnier if it hadn't been nearly 40-years since Boston won it's last cup.
I think that's true, Boston has a much richer history than Vancouver (IMO), being one of the older and one of the "Original Six", which is why I think Boston's win is historical given that heritage (Mention either the Bruins or Bobby Orr and I guarantee most people will mention the other) and the four decade drought of not winning a Stanley Cup.
