find out where the coolant is leaking from. it could be a bad gasket or bad water pump. Dont use silicon on anything, if you find the leak, fix it the proper way. You could bring it to a shop and have them pressurize your coolant system and check for leaks.

Ok fellas...

Ive got a stock 87 lx and shes been kickin til lately.

Changed the water pump, gaskets, etc etc. Running a Fluidyne Aluminum Radiator with a 160* stat, and a flex fan 18".... needless to say the car doesnt run anything hotter than 165. so i have no issues keeping the car cool.... but i did notice one thing... I run distilled water with "water wetter" in my car to keep its cool in hot So cal(not lately) so when i checked under the cap I found my water to be well.. rusty. I also noticed a puddle of water under the car.... coming from the timing chain cover... driver side. Could this be a leak fromt he bolt? if so what do I use to seal it ...Silicone? would this also cause bubbles? or does that signify something more serious like a head gasket leak/? No milky oil though... Whats up with this? tell me what you guys think this is all about and what I should go about to fix it.
