OK, here's the deal. I have an $800 budget remaining to do clutch and suspension. Right now the car is completely stock and worn out in both of these areas.

So I am planning the FMS King CObra Clutch (Call it $200). That will leave me with $600 for shocks / struts / springs / U & LCA.

For the shocks / struts I am thinking the KYB GR2 & matching shocks off ebay for about $200 shipped. Anyone go this route? Who on ebay did you buy off of and would you do again?

For springs, being a bigger guy with a convertible I am thinking FMS C springs. I am not looking for a very big drop mostly a stiffer ride. $160 or so.

Now for the problem. I can get U & LCA for about $200 OR I can get the poly bushing kit for $200. I am thinking the bushing kit will be better and just re-use the factory control arms (I am only using this as a DD that may go the strip 1-2 time a year. so it really is a DD first and foremost. Do I need to swap the actual control arms? I would really like to have the spring isolators, tranny mount, steering rack bushings, sway bar endlinks, and everything else in the kit.

I thought about the FMS suspension package but then this is springs and dampers for about the same cost as my thought process.

Thanks,
Chris

Don't know much about the clutch, but I have the KYB shocks and struts, and they are quite nice for the amount I spent. I didn't get them off eBay though, but rather through the store I work at. As for the control arms, I am about to spend some money and replace both UCA's and LCA's, not just the bushings. The factory pieces are weak and flex WAY to much for my taste. Might as well spend $200 and get some new control arms too. Although the only upper and lower setup you can get for $200 will be MAC or UPR. Hope this helps.
