BUDGET upper and lower control arms, what to get?

I really dont care if they are adjustable or not, I want the MOST traction for the money that i can get, and the most effective! I want both upper and lower control arms, not outrageous prices, thanks!!!!

Take the factory units, put urethane bushings in them. Box them for strength. Weld the torque boxes while you are at it. Put it ricks box support or get battle boxes. Also look on EBAY for the same thing.

x2cmotorsports.com has a good set of 'street' upper and lowers for $149 I believe, but i would recommend putting in torque box reinforcements.

My comment is get adj uppers, this way you only have to buy parts once....

Adj uppers
Good bushings for rear housing (upper control arm rear mounting point)
Any good lower, height adjustment is a plus IMO.
Re-Enforce TQ boxes while it is apart, atleast do the lowers (Thanks for the comments on my stuff guys )

I have the MAC uppers and lowers installed and I'm happy with them. I'm happy to the point where I'm just as into the suspension/stiffening aspect of the car as I am into the speed side of things. Car handles nice.

I got mine from a Mustang performance shop in N.C. who sells them on Ebay regularly. They are Granetelli uppers and lowers. They are the exact ones that Summit sells as thier own brand because Granetelli makes them for Summit. They are the exact ones in the catalog (red ones). I got them for $160 for uppers/lowers and all hardware. They are the tubular steel type, are very nice, installed easily, and work great.
If you do a search on Ebay, they should have some on there.

I have Factory 5 uppers and lowers on mine..tubular steel, polyeurothane bushings and powdercoated (pretty much like all others) easy install and deffinate improvement over stock. I also like the fact that the are greasable..
It all depends on your use on which to get.

Those arms are nice, I installed a set of black ones on a guys car, he likes them. I am still partial to a adjustable upper, the JD's work well. PERKS Performance is a dealer for JD"s may want to check him for pricing. LINK is in my sig...

I put a set of Maximum Motorsport Lowers and a set of FMS uppers as they recommended on their site. That along with spherical bearings for the uppers on the axle end and you've got a solid setup. Besides, you shouldn't need torque box reinforcements according to them.....

i want torque box reinforcements becuase of launching on drag radials, i like to play it safe. Overkill is more of a word. but it works.

We just welded all the torque boxes up while we were up there. If I ever make the kind of power where I'm fearing for them, I'll get a reinforcement kit from somewhere. But for now, just welding them up will work fine for me.

ANY aftermarket control arms will be better than stock though... eeeesh!

I have UPR aluminum ones. They are a little pricey, but I love the control I have now as compared to before and I allready had subframe connectors.
