besides a clay bar, what is the best way to remove dead bugs from a car? i have heard using a damp dryer sheet works but i would think that with the texture of one that it would be a little abrasive on the paint? any tips or tricks?

I thought WD-40 worked. Been a while though.

I've always used Turtle wax's bug and tar remover. It works great with no elbow grease at all, I just put a little dab on a soft towel and the bugs come right off. Then wipe any excess off with a clean portion of the towel.

i scrub em extra hard with the wash mitt..the front end of my car gets covered in bugs, mostly because i like to drive back roads at night, and of coarse just slightly above the speed limit

I've always used the time honored process of a hose and a bucket of soapy water. I find that if I hose down the front end of the car, then come back after letting them soak for a couple of minutes, most of them simply rinse off. The rest wash off with the wash mitt without a problem.
