so a built, stroked sortblock is being upgraded to a built long block, with eventual twin turbos
planning on 775 to 800 hp.

car is to be a daily driver, and mostly strip racing, with occasional track days, when one is available.

i want to "stick" with a stick, instead of an auto.
(i know most serious drag racers use autos for consistency)

what built tranny should i get?
a 6 speed like the gt 500,
something else?

torn between putting the turbo's on hold for even longer (i HATE delayed gratification), and doing the tranny at the same time the block goes in,
vs.
block now, turbos soon (with restraint), then tranny and rear-end, and let the turbo's run wild.

thoughts on the order to do things in?
recs on a tranny?

Here is some info on the upcoming more powerful Viper.
"It has been confirmed officially that the 2008 Viper will get a 90hp bump up to 600hp and a 25lbft torque bump up to 560lb-ft. The T56 transmission has been replaced with the new Tremec TR6060, and a revised shifter has been paired with the new gearbox. Shifts are claimed to be 18% quicker than Chevrolet's Corvette Z06."
