While doing a little research today at my friends auto shop. I was searching with a program he has to buy for emmisions testing. I can't remember the name of it right now. It's ALL something. ALLCAN maybe.....anyway.....

I found on interesting thing from ford.

A known surging/hanging rpm situation can be caused by a loose injector plug. The harness was also listed as a cause at the 10 pin connection.

Interesting program he had. It listed all kinds of things. The next time I'm over there I'm going to print the whole thing out.

Yeah that's it. AllData. My friend just told me about the thing today. He started doing emmisions testing and it's required for some reason. There are a few other programs he can use though besides AllData

I'm going to print out a bunch of stuff off that thing next time.

Feel free to share :D

I love to hear about things like this.

Also it is good to look up TSB's (technical service bullittins) because although there may be many causes of a problem, the one's that come up the most are listed as TSB's. My work uses Mitchel, which is similar. I thought Alldata's diagrams and such were better.

AllData is a subcription. He pays $192 a month for it. He has to have it to do emissions testing for some reason. There are a few other programs that do the same thing too he says.

I don't know if AutoZone sells it or refers you to it.

I know that you can look up stuff really quick with it.

And everything is there.

Alot better than the shop manual if you ask me.
