Just sold my 95 Firebird Formula and am getting a mustang. Quick question, What is the differences between the 2001 Mustang GT, and the 2001 Mustang Bullitt. I am going to go race on this car, but dont want to get the bullitt model and then have it be real hard to find parts for the bullitt instead of the GT. I already know a lot of GT parts are out their, but have not seen a lot of Bullitt parts. So whats the main differences Ect.?

I was just basing it on an old test article that either MM&FF or 5.0 M&SF did when it came out. I remember distinctly that when they tested the models they brought them both to the scale and couldn’t figure out where all of the extra weight that the Bullitt was carrying, came from?
every used Bullitt I see, owners want a mint for them. You can pick up a 2001 GT for peanuts compared to what most are asking for a Bullitt. Besides, even if you are lucky enough to find a Bullitt in the right price range now, later on it’s going to be worth far more than the GT (unmolested). But as soon as he starts building it and racing it (which is what he’s going to do), that collector’s value starts to take a nosedive. It’s just such a shame to see a low production model like that get wrung out, when it could have been done cheaper and made every bit as fast and as easily, as with a run of the mill GT.
