Bullitt/Mach 1/ Cobra Brakes Kit

This will probably be my next mod! Looking to get the Bullitt brake upgrade kit with the red calipers with the pony on them. A company called Blue Oval Industries sells the complete kit front and rear. Supposdly it comes with everything you need to upgrade. Brembo rotors/pbr pads/ dust shields/bolts......I was curious as to if you guys that have upgraded to this kit are you impressed with them compared to the stock gt brakes. The bullitt brakes look better without question. I've seen some kits that come with banjo bolts...are those necessary?!?
Just wondering if you guys who have upgraded think this is all the parts I need!!

Blue oval list these as the complete package:

1 pair of Bullitt Special Edition Calipers powdercoated in Red w/ Brackets.
1 set of Front brake Pads
1 pair of Special Edition Bullitt Rear Calipers powdercoated in Red
1 set of rear brake pads
1 Pair of Brembo 13" front rotors
1 Pair of Brembo 11.65" rear rotors
1 pair of Front brake Hoses
1 pair of rear caliper mounting brackets
1 pair of Moan braces
1 pair of rear Dust shields
2 sets of dust shield bolts

Nice kit! but don't buy from them

they don't have a good reputation,do some search you'll see!

Id either get the Mach 1 or Cobra kit. The little horse on the Bullet brakes look stupid IMO

I used the Baer EradiSpeed rotors with my Bullitt brakes. Your stock banjo bolts should be just fine. I believe the Cobra calipers are threaded differently, but the Bullitts are threaded the same as the GTs.

You're going to love those brakes, though. Check out the link in my sig. I've got a nice photo of my fronts in there.

Oh, and a set of stainless steel braided brake lines would go very nicely with those.

I got calipers from stangsuspension (they matched the price from buyfordracing.com) and bought MM stainless lines at the same time. Got slot/drill/zince rotors from RotorPros.com.

Total. About 420 dollars shipped.

Depends on the year. I beleive 99-00 GT's used fine threaded banjo bolts and 01+ use coarse threads.



Buyfordracing.com has cheaper prices. I got my front Mach 1 kit for $310. They also sell the rear kit for $175. All you would need are the rear calipers which i beleive are $210. That's cheaper than the blueovalindustries kit.


All the Mach 1 calipers need is a little paint and they look just as good as the bullitt brakes

BTW, you're the first person I've ever heard say the running horse looks "stupid."
