No gaps here

Im sure that Mach's & Bullits were just painted there from the factory. I think the GT/Cobra/V6 C pillars extended a tad further back, so when removed to add Mach/Bullitt C pillars, it leaves the section exposed....

I wouldn't call it a gap. The Bullitt pillars are shaped differently. The reason for the primer area on the GT's with c pillar swaps is a result of the painting step during assembly. It appears that ford paints the c pillars and quarter panels after they are installed. The stock GT pillars stick out farther on the quarter panel and the Bullitt's are more tapered towards the glass.

I will get some close up pics of what I'm referring to. Give me a couple days with the Holidays and I will have some pics up

If you are not picky,on a silver stang, you can get away with it some what.I was doing the install in my garage, and was test fitting everything before i sent mine out to paint, but once i saw the primered area,i was like no way,i could see it in the garage,so i new i would see even more out side in the daylight. It's not a lot of area exposed, but enough for me not wanting to screw with the stock paint,or to install the "C" pillars. So the stockers went back on,and i sold the Mach/bullitt "C" pillars and quarter glass right after.
So basically it depends on the individual.

The glass between the two is different (FWIW). You'll notice that the dot matrix pattern is different between the GT and Bullitt/Mach.
