Bullitt Mass Air Question?

Hello. It's been a while since I've been out here, but I need some help.

Is the Mass Air Flow Meter/Sensor the same on all 2v 96-04 Mustang GTs?

I'm considering changing out my Meter/Sensor and found one from a '97 GT that only had 11,000 miles when removed. Will this part fit an '01 Bullitt?

Also, regarding cleaning the sensor, where do you find tamper proof torx bits?

I am not sure if they are the same or not. If they are different then the only difference is in the plug and you can find an adapter on ebay. You dont need the torx bits to clean it, just spray the sampeling element with electrical parts cleaner. Are you sure the sensor is bad? You can find used mafs on ebay all day long so you might want to keep looking for a newer one. Also I know i have seen some in the stangnet classifieds.

No they are not all the same. For one, the 99-01 had the IAT as a separate sensor, while the 02-04 integrated the IAT into the MAF. I'm not too experienced with the 96-98's...
