Need some help deciding if I should keep my Bullitt or trade straight up for a 96 Cobra. Mods on the Bullitt are long tubes, off road x pipe, new competition centerforce clutch and 4.10 gears. Mods on the cobra are borla cat back, under drive pullies, lowering springs. both cars have about 100k miles on the clock. I don't have a goal for either car. Sentimental value with the bullitt since my dad also has one and the bullitt has a serial number same as the year i was born. other than that nothing else to mention. Thoughts opinions?

I would stick with the Bullitt since they are much rarer and much more unique.

Plus the car you already have is a known quantity, you will not know the real reason the Cobra owner wants to trade until after you trade.

I know the guy who wants to trade me. He is my dad's friend. Still a tough decision though. Bullitt is rare

I have a '96 cobra, but in your case I'd stick with the bullitt.

Bullitt is a collectible, so you're gonna have value issues if you mod it too much.

Cobra is going to be expensive to work on with the 4v

Maybe trade it for a mach 1

I'd trade for the Cobra, but maybe I'm partial since we have a 97 Cobra.

Am I missing something? Cobras are rare as well.

With a Cobra, you can get an SVT certificate, I don't think the Bullitt has that.

Other than mileage, are both cars clean and in nice shape inside and out?

Well the cobra in 97 they made about 6700, 2001 they made about 6500 bullitts.

Thinking about it, I would get the cobra but I would be real wary of the condition of
the T-45 transmission.

JW if the Cobra is a mystic. I personally wouldn't trade for an older car.

I definitely would'nt trade. They made 5,500 Bullitt's in '01 and they have a production number for each one. In this case I think the Bullitt is the more special of the two. I like the '99-'04 bodystyle way better too.
