Bullitt Suspension

Are any of the parts in the Bullitt suspension already on a 94-95 GT like they are on the Steeda G-Trac and other kits? Particularly the anti-roll bars...I know that my car has springs and shocks....

Thanks for the help...I'm planning on dropping by Gene Evans later and picking it up if all goes ok....

No offense but I've driven a few Bullitts and they don't handle very well. The Mach I kit is no better. If you want to stiffen the ride up then get some sub frame connectors, G-trac bar and a good set of springs. If your stock struts/shocks are toast then look into Tockiko, Billstein, Koni, etc.

PM Hairycanary. I think he installed the Mach 1 kit and hated it. From what I understand, the Bullitt suspension is going to have a rougher ride than the Mach.

What about if you have subframes? I like the idea behind the Bullitt suspension because I don't want a massive drop. Plus, the kit comes with shocks/struts/springs/sway bars. Is it really that bad or just not like Griggss and/or MM? I've only had stock suspension and right now I'm borrowing an 03 Mach 1 for a couple weeks. OMG.......that has a near perfect suspension to me: very comfortable ride, corners/turns are much better/smoother, no nose dive, and just a more confident overall feel. That's what I want, something that can handle way better than stock, but still be good for long trips.

$399 isn't bad either compared to other kits and parts. I know that different people look for different things.

I did a lot of research on the Bullitt suspension and most thouht it was great or at least better than stock. I'm interested in this topic, too, because I'm noticing that my stock suspension is going to crap in that I feel everything. Maybe the Mach 1 is ruining my impression of my own car, don't know.

GTatGT, what kind of driving do encounter: track, strip, street, or combination. That will help a lot. For me, street only and my stang is almost a daily driver in that my wife and I take her car to work sometimes (we work for same company), but I always take mine on business trips.

I have been looking into getting this setup too. but im looking into it because i want to lower my ride with out sacrificing too much ride quality.

Some of the speed bumps out here almost require a Hummer. Just barely scraped my new X-pipe a few days ago and knew then that 1.5 - 2 inch drop would be too much. I'm stock now, but dropping only 1" is ok and will improve looks a little.

I just did Mach1 shocks/struts, and I don't like 'em. But I believe the reason is because I have progressive rate springs, and the shocks/struts do not have the correct damping rate for the springs. A matched Bullitt kit would undoubtedly be much better.... but I'm going to spend my money on a Maximum Motorsports setup (H&R springs, Bilsteins). Of course, the MM setup costs about three times what the Bullitt kit does, so you have to determine your price point....

Well I had the bullit kit onmy car, minus the sway bars they offer now and LOVED it. It was a much better ride than stock. At the time my tock suspension had baout 70K miles on it so I was due for shcoks and strtus anyway. You could tell it was not a stock ride since it was a bit stiffer but the main things I like were that it did not beat the crap out of you on the road. And that it was not "slammed" It lowered the front just about 1" and the rear about 1.5''. To me it was a good deal for the money and it was a matched setup like HairyCanary mentioned.

The setup is now on my Brothers 98 Cobra and he says the same things. I Would receommend the kit

Well, I just use it for daily driving really. And since I'm in college I don't have the money for all the top of the line stuff. All I want is a small drop and improved handling. I drive in Altanta so a large drop would kill my underbelly....

I have the Bullit springs & Mach I shocks & struts and I like it much more than stock. Course when I took off the struts they would not expand like they should. I also did A arms, and all bushings in the front. Mine rides as good if not a little better than a 01 Cobra with Eibach springs with 03 Bilstins shocks & struts. For the price they are a great bargin and better than stock upgrade. They are not the best for open track or autocross, but better than stock. This is my opinion.

The bullitt kit on a 94-95 has a different feel to it than on a newer model. The height difference alone is way different. The new Bullitts dont look that low to me. I think they are so bulky up top that they really need to be considerably lower to get the COG down. Oh, and by the way, the shocks/struts that come with the bullitt kit are Tokicos.
