Just curious to see if anyone has ran a Pontaic G8?? I have a 01 Bullitt W/Suspension mods: Rear upper/lower control arms, lowering spring Shock/Struts, K-Member, C/C plates, Front & rear sway bars. Buddy of mine has a 2009 Pontiac G8 he is getting exhaust, Cold air induction,& A Tune. He won't race me stalk. How bad do you guy's think he will get me?? I'm curious to know how I'm gonna do before I get my full Bolt on's & a Rear end gear. He isn't much of a racer which I know is gonna give me a bit of a advantage. His car is A automtic.

Stock for stock it could be anyone's race. With the mods he should take you, or if you doesn't get you off the line, he'll get you on the top end.

Stock their E.T. and trap MPH pretty comparable.

If you have 4.10's and radials you will be close, with exhaust and a tune he will be at 400+

I played with one a while ago and he pulled away from me really hard from a roll. I also raced one at the track and almost beat it but got me at the last stretch of the track. *must have been a bad driver* I ran a 14.2 @99mph and he was a few tenths quicker...

They are really a wolf in sheeps clothing imo.


But ya when they get some mods under the hood they easily make crazy power...

I've seen lots of those cars in the 12s on street tires with relatively few mods.

If he spins and you don't, there is a chance. But if he hooks at all, forget it.

Any ideas why Ford felt the Bullitt was not worthy of the DOHC, but the Mach was?

bullitt came out before the Mach, thats why...

Probably because it would have invaded Cobra space. 260GT, 305Bullitt, 320Cobra. Compared to 260GT, 305Mach, and 390Cobra in '03.

pretty sure the bullitt was only 265hp

What kind of G8? Base V6, GT, or GXP? Kinda need to know that before making any kind of realistic prediction.

You're gonna get walked by a stock G8 GT from a roll. From a dig you can only win with more traction, but he's got a huge advantage. The GT has 100 hp on you, you ain't gonna win that one unless he misses a gear or spins ridiculously. Run past the 1/4 mile and you will get walked.

If it's a GXP, I wouldn't even waste the gas if I were him unless you've been running your mouth. I'd still race him if he wanted, just to see his car go.

If he's got a V6 you'll rape him if you don't spin.

He owns a 09 GXP. At the track I got him 2/wice he was spinning his a** off. But once we got on the road he got me bad. Im going to buy full Bolton's, 3:73's, Full exhaust L/T header's and, A N.O.S 100 or, 150 shot & get it tuned. I'll repost the result's.

Doesnt the GXP have a 6.2 in it? Seems like they would be fast
