well, I went to the track this weekend.. My first run was pretty good (see sig), but my second run sucked. On the first run i was able to drive around the water box, and do a light burn out through first gear (holding break). The second run I was on the tower side, which was IMPOSSIBLE to drive around the water box!! I was a little angry having to drive through it, but thought it would be ok, id just do a longer burn out. So when i start spinning, the tires are wet so it goes to red line really quick. I try to power shift into second, but its a no go; All I get is grind, which is extremely embarrasing. So i try and do it again, and i get the same thing: GRIND. By this time i just want to shoot myself because i look like a dumb@$$.
I was wondering if anyone had a better technique? Maybe a more appropriate RPM to switch into 2nd gear (i was doing 5500)? any advice would be great! They arent DR, just street tires (which are crap). Also how hard is this on my clutch? Its not something i would do everyday, just at the track.
