so last night i was with my girlfriend (shes 15), she has never driven before, and i thought i'd let her get a feel for a car on a back road. i tell her push in the brake, put it in drive...all that stuff, here she kept her foot on the brake and the other on the gas...about 3 miles later we stopped, the right front caliper was on fire (i spit through the wheel and put the fire out) and both front rotors were red hot ...today in shop class i took it apart to check thigns out, everything appears ok, smells hot still, but everything looks ok, all rubber boots arent melted or anything, I THINK it was just my caliper paint that was on fire, but anways...

is there anything that i should check to see if its still ok before i drive it too much?

Yeah, your brain. Figure out why you let a woman drive your car, not to mention an unlicensed woman. I did that once. probably took about 5K miles off my clutch. And then I let her fat sister try. There went another 5K.

for those of us with a convertible and a lot less trunk space we either:

1: Leave the women at home
2: Go in their car (you're S.O.L. in that department)
