ok i have been getting this burning brake or clutch smell since i got my car back from the shop

now i am getting a rattling sound when ever i press the clutch in

i only hear it when the clutch is presses in like when i am shifting

i am thinking the guy that installed my motor did not line the new flywheel and 6month old clutch up correctly or something

any idea when maybe causing this like i said the flywheel is a brand new alum. and the clutch is a spec I clutch and has only been on the car for less then 6months

like i said before i can hear the rattling sound only when i press the clutch in

If the clutch alignment was off he would not have been able to mate the tranny to the engine.
The rattle with the clutch pressed in could be etiher the throw out bearing/pilot bearing (this would also cause a shudder when releasing the clutch pedal) or a bad clutch friction/pressure plate.
You say you can smell burning clutch, is the clutch slipping from what you can tell?
Have you taken the car back to the installer to give you an opinion?

clutch is not slipping at all and that sound i am hearing can only be heard when the car warms up

the sound is real noticable if i push the clutch in all the way to the floor but if i just push it just enuff to change gears i can bearly hear it

i will just drop the car off to amcoo to have them check it out for me i now the owner there he is cool

i have to get this thing running good i am doing the pipping for my intercooler this week last thing i need is to have the car sitting in the shop for a week with a bad clutch problem
