Busting Wheel Locks

Any ideas on how to remove wheel locks w/o the lug key?
Mine disappeared yesterday and I think my daughter carried off into the yard somewhere.

I ended up having to take mine to a wheel shop and they did it for me. No tool in my garage was up to the task. Sad thing is 6months later I found the damn key

All you have to do is take a socket that almost fits over the lock and pound it on with a hammer. Then you can take it off.

Damn I've been trying that and it keeps on slipping off. I should try to slowly torque it instead of using the impact on it.

I just went to Ford and they were able to take them off.

All you have to do is take a socket that almost fits over the lock and pound it on with a hammer. Then you can take it off.

I tried that and it almost worked. But the lock started to give way and just kept shaving more and more material. When the breaker bar started to move I was so happy I thought I had it. Then I realized it was just the socket spinning on the lock Good luck!

I just lost my key,,I brought it to my shop.There"is" a special tool for this and he had it.But he charged me 60 beans It took him about an hour to do all of them.

I just found a couple removal kits on ebay by MAC for $15 and $28.

Discount tire has a removal tool that did mine, like a easy out for lug nuts. Did it for free, but I gave him $5.

I went through this about 6 mos ago. Ford wanted to do a service write up, bring it in, and charge $80. .

Luckily, Travis had a spare key (stock) and it fit. Do you not have the code for the lock that you can submit to the company for a replacement?

Discount Tire has a special tool? Must've gotten those recently, thanks to my complaints to the company after a moron tech there tried taking my locks off with an impact, broke the key, and completely chewed the locks to the point where I had no choice, but to chisel them off (also gouging my wheels a little), and replace the studs. From then on, I take my wheels off, and bring them to the place to have tires mounted, watching them the whole time, so they don't screw my wheels up (ok, maybe I'm paranoid about it, but I've done it to peoples' wheels myself years ago, so it does happen). But anyway, pound on the smallest socket you can get to fit on the locks, and wrench them off. If that doesn't work, drill out the stud, and give it a whack with a hammer and chisel. It should break off easily, and you can replace the stud.
